• Description: Audio interface software for Macintosh computers which enables phone-like connections over the Internet. It operates by compressing audio and sending it over a TCP/IP connection as digital information. NetPhone can interface with Netscape, allows multiple active calls, and provides caller ID. • Requirements: Power Macintosh or a Macintosh with 68020 (or faster) processor; System 7; MacTCP and a Macintosh-compatible microphone.

• Availability: A free demo version is available by anonymous ftp which allows outgoing calls of up to 90 seconds in duration. The Registration Code button in the welcome screen can be used to obtain a license code.
