Machine Intelligence Laboratory
The Machine Intelligence Laboratory comprises three research groups:
|
3D models from uncalibrated images,
Object recognition.
Human-computer interfaces.
Visual tracking and localisation.
Visually guided robotics and autonomous systems.
Augmented reality.
|
|
|
|
|
3D ultrasound for medical applications: calibration,
acquisition, visualisation, volume measurement, deconvolution
and strain imaging. The Stradx and Stradwin systems. |
|
|
|
|
Continuous speech recognition and transcription, spoken
dialog systems, synthesis and coding. Machine translation.

The Machine Intelligence Laboratory is part of the Information
Engineering Division of Cambridge University Engineering Department.
To see how we fit into the structure of the rest of the
Department, see the Research Groups
home pages page.
An overview of the laboratory, and a
list of current research
projects are available.
The Machine Intelligence Laboratory consists of
academic staff,
research fellows,
visitors,
research assistants and associates, and
research students. There is
also a list of recent members of the
group.
The Machine Intelligence Laboratory maintains an index
of many of our publications, including links to abstracts and the
documents themselves, and a search facility.
The Machine Intelligence Laboratory welcomes applications from prospective PhD students
and those seeking Post Doctoral positions. In the speech and language
area, the Machine Intelligence Laboratory also offers a taught Masters course
taking 1 year full-time or 2 years part time. More details are given
in the following links; prospective candidates are also encouraged to
contact Machine Intelligence
Laboratory Staff members directly.
