This project is closely linked to the Euro-PUNCH project and the aim is to investigate a number of Neural Computing and related techniques to support Quality Assurance in Maternity Care. The study involves large amounts of statistical data, including Foetal Heart-Rate data and the related pregnancy outcome. Investigations focus on identifying problems in the area that can be posed as statistical function approximation problems, design and evaluation of neural computing algorithms as prediction and decision support tools.
