I am working on my PhD in automatic speech recognition in the Speech, Vision and Robotics Group of the Cambridge University Engineering Department. My supervisor is Phil Woodland. Currently I spend most of my time writing a large vocabulary decoder and working on the HTK3 and the HTK Rich Audio Transcription projects. See my HTK homepage for details.
I will be joining VoiceSignal Technologies in Boston later this year to work on embedded speech recognition like voice dialing on mobile phones.
2002-now Research Associate in the HTK Rich Audio Transcription project (part of the DARPA EARS programme).
1999-now PhD student in the SVR group at CUED working on large vocabulary decoding
1998-1999 M.Phil. in 'Computer Speech and Language Processing' at Cambridge University
1993-1998 Baccalaureus Scientiae in Computer Science at University of Hamburg
1992-1993 service in the German Navy
