My name is Giovanni Maria Farinella, and I am Associate Member of the Computer Vision and Robotics Research Group at Cambridge University. I joined this group in May 2006 and I am proud of doing my research study under Prof. Roberto Cipolla's supervision. My research interests lie in the fields of Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition and Machine Learning. I am working on Image/Video Object Segmentation and Recognition at present.

I came from Italy where I am currently Ph.D. student in Computer Science and member of IPLab research group in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Catania.

Here in Cambridge I have the privilege to be MCR Affiliate Member of St Catharine’s College, Guest of Jesus College and Resident at Westminster College. I am also Life Member of the Cambridge University Italian Society since May 2006.
