Welcome to Julia Lasserre's website

This website is pretty minimal. You will find some brief information about my research, my publications and some more personal stuff. Thank you very much for your interest!

I was a PhD student in Machine Learning/Object Recognition, in the Engineering Department of Cambridge University, under C.Bishop and R.Cipolla. I was a member of Queens' College, one of the oldest colleges in Cambridge. I loved it here, the city is beautiful, the work environment exciting and the cultural life vibrant. I encourage anyone to come and experience life in Cambridge! The only things I could complain about are the gloomy weather and the average cuisine, but I have to say british humour, chocolate fudge cake and clotted cream make up for it... Oh dear! it is already tea time!

I have now just started a postdoc in bioinformatics at the Max-Planck-Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin, with Prof. Martin Vingron. More on that later...
