Dr Matthew Koichi Grimes

Hello, I am a post-doctoral research associate in the Computer Vision & Robotics Group, Machine Intelligence Lab, at the University of Cambridge. My work is supervised by Prof. Roberto Cipolla.

I joined Cambridge in October 2013. Prior to this, I was the localization and mapping lead at the Autonomous Driving group at the Bosch Research and Technology Center , working on laser and vision-based mapping and localization for fully automated highway driving with lane changes.

I did my Ph.D. at New York University under the supervision of Yann LeCun. My dissertation was in real-time city-scale SLAM, and fast hybrid methods for outdoor visual odometry.

Pictures, publications, and other info about my previous work can be found at my NYU homepage, which I will migrate here.
