Pirros Tsiakoulis

Bio I am a postdoctoral research associate at the Machine Intelligence Laboratory, Cambridge University Engineering Department, working with Prof. Steve Young and the Dialogue Systems Group. My research interests are in Speech Synthesis, Speech Recognition, and Speech Analysis. I work on corpus based unit selection and statistical parametric speech synthesis, robust speech recognition, speech segmentation, feature extraction and non-linear speech analysis. I hold a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering (2003) and a PhD (2010) in Electrical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens. I have also been working as a research fellow, member of the Speech Synthesis Group, at the ILSP / R.C. "Athena" from 2000. In addition, I have collaborated with the CVSP group at the NTUA, and with Prof. Alexandros Potamianos at the Technical University of Crete.
