Simon Taylor

I am a PhD student in the Engineering Department at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Professor Roberto Cipolla of the Machine Intelligence Lab. The first two years of my PhD study was supervised by Dr. Tom Drummond. My research is sponsored by The Boeing Company.

I have co-founded a company, Extra Reality Limited, to persue the commercialisation of some of the results of my research.

Research

My research is focused on fast feature-based matching methods for applications in mobile handheld augmented reality.

My work received a Best Demo award at CVPR 2009 in Miami.
